ZEF has opened an official project office for its research activities within the project on Water Related Information System for the Mekong Delta (WISDOM) in Vietnam. It is located at the campus of the University of Can Tho City, within the premises of the Mekong Delta Research Institute, a partner organisation of the project.

How researchers and practitioners can work and improve collaboration in post-conflict societies in the field of Social Water Management was the overarching question addressed in a workshop at ZEF on February 15 2008. ‘Lessons learnt’ from a joint project carried out by ZEF and the German Agro Action (Deutsche Welthungerhilfe, DWHH) in Afghanistan were presented and discussed.
