ZEF organized successful master class on "Gender and Development"
April 06, 2006.
The Department of Political and Cultural Change (ZEF a) successfully organized a master class on “Gender and Development” on April 3-4 2006. It was the first in a series of master classes.
During this first master class, PhD and senior researchers from ZEF and other universities had the opportunity to discuss their work extensively under the direction of two invited resource persons: Dr. Frances Cleaver (Bradford Center for International Development, University of Bradford, Great Britain) and Dr. Haroon Akram-Lodhi (Institute of Social Studies, The Hague, The Netherlands).
The master class had as twofold objective to support its researchers in providing a platform for intensive scientific discussion, and to grasp the opportunity to increase the gender awareness in the various trans-disciplinary research projects of ZEF as a whole.
