Development of screening assays for drought tolerance and identification of sources of
tolerance in cultivated and wild tomato species
o
Identification of key traits associated with tolerance phenotypes in response to drought stress
under field and controlled conditions
o
Elucidation of the physiological basis of drought tolerance in tomato
o
Participation in genetic mapping and gene expression experiments to characterize drought
tolerance
o
Assist with other abiotic stress tolerance projects as needed
