ZEF will organize an international workshop on "Civil society in Vietnam and Cambodia: Concepts and discourses - diversity in practice" from January 18-20, 2012.
The workshop is for invitees only, but offers a one-day public session including two lectures and a reception:
January 18, 4 - 5.30:
Prof. Dr. Adam Fforde
(Asia Institute, University of Melbourne, Australia)
on: "State, civil society and politics: Vietnam – a land without a king?"
and
Sedara Kim
(Senior Fellow, Cambodia Development Resource Institute, Phnom Penh)
on "Taking their place in society: A gendered analysis of local governance reform in post-conflict Cambodia".
These lectures are followed by a reception and networking get-together
from 5.30 - 8 p.m.
