ZEF Junior-Professor Lisa Biber-Freudenberger co-lead-author in next IPBES Nexus Assessment

Junior-Professor Lisa Biber-Freudenberger (ZEF) has been selected as a Lead Author for the Nexus Assessment of the Intergovernmental Science-Policy Platform on Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services (IPBES). She was nominated by the German government and ZEF. In a subsequent competitive selection process she was selected by IPBES to be part of an international and interdisciplinary team of authors.

The Nexus assessment will provide policy-relevant knowledge to decision-makers about the interlinkages among biodiversity, water, food and health. It will be prepared by the selected team of experts over the next 3.5 years starting in May 2022.
