The 15th International Symposium on Society and Resource Management (ISSRM) July 5 - 8, 2009 Vienna, Austria
March 10, 2009.
The ISSRM 2009 is moving closer. This year´s Symposium will be hosted by
the University of Natural Resources and Applied Life Sciences (BOKU) and
will be held at the Austria Center Vienna. The symposium will follow the
theme "Meet Old and New Worlds in Research, Planning and Management." As
such, the emphasis will be on - discussing methodological traditions
versus pragmatic solutions, - exploring cultural and political influences
on planning and decision making processes, and - addressing the
trans-disciplinary and trans-boundary character of research and
management.
We will discuss these themes in the following fields: landscape
development, wildlife, water and forest management, recreation, climate
change, nature-based tourism and many other issues around resource
management.
Due to many requests we have extended the deadline for scientific paper
and poster abstracts to March 16, 2009!
We encourage you to take advantage of the unique setting of this
international meeting in the heart of Europe and to see it as an
opportunity to meet new colleagues in research, planning and management.
We are looking forward to receiving scientific paper and poster abstracts
on diversified research areas.
