News - Environmental Planning and Biodiversity Conservation in Ethiopia
November 7-14, 2010:
The PhD Program conducted a field excursion to the afromontane transitional Guineo-Gongolian rainforests of South-western Ethiopia. The goal of the excursion was to identify, discuss and understand in an applied and interdisciplinary manner some of the most critical environmental problems of Ethiopia on the spot, such as forest destruction, land degradation, and soil erosion, and to elaborate on ways how environmental planning can contribute to their mitigation.

Partnership agreement signed between University of Bonn, University of Addis Ababa and University of Hanover.
