Degrees / expertise

Studied agricultural engineering at the Bogor Agricultural University, Indonesia. In 1992, he received a scholarship from The Japan International Co-operation Agency (JICA) for a course in environmental control engineering in agriculture at the University of Tokyo and University of Kochi, Japan. From 1994 to 1996, he was granted a scholarship from Belgian Administration for development and co-operation (ABOS) to complete his M.Sc. in environmental sanitation at the University of Gent, Belgium.
