Two new successful ZEF doctoral graduates: André Bueno Rezende de Castro and Yauheniya Shershunovich

André Bueno Rezende de Castro and Yauheniya Shershunovich successfully defended their theses on October 17, 2023 at ZEF.
André Bueno Rezende de Castro sucessfully defended his thesis on "The role of transaction costs in strengthening agricultural market linkages to achieve higher welfare in Tanzania" and received his doctoral degree from the Faculty of Agriculture of Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Bonn.
His first supervisor was Prof. Dr. Joachim von Braun and his second supervisor was PD Dr. Alisher Mirzabaev.
André is part of the ZEF project Volatility in Commodity Markets, Trade Policy and the Poor.
His research was funded by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) and the Foundation fiat panis.

Yauheniya Shershunovich sucessfully defended her thesis on "Economics of consumer and business behavior related to environment Studies in Belarus" and also received her doctoral degree from the Faculty of Agriculture of Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Bonn.
Her first supervisor was Prof. Dr. Joachim von Braun and her second supervisor was PD Dr. Alisher Mirzabaev.
Yauheniya's research was funded by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD).
