Best poster award for Wendy Chávez-Páez at Summer School in Graz, Austria

ZEF doctoral student Wendy Chávez-Páez won the award for the best poster presentation at the Summer School “Conflict, challenge and change” of the University of Graz, Austria. 

Wendy's award-winning poster was titled "I WAS ON A CROAKER CHASE. Chronicle of a confrontation: the origins and the trace" (click on picture left or download here) and dealt with her journey with fishermen hunting for croakers in Ecuador's Gulf of Guayaquilnear.

" I am thankful for the fieldwork funding that I got from DAAD and ZEF, and for the visit of my tutor Jean Carlo Rodríguez (Senior Researcher at the German Development Institute, Bonn, Germany) in the field. These were all pillars that enabled me to live the experience and put these ideas in the poster".
